The World Social Forum that ended in Nairobi last week dwelt on how to fight poverty to uplift the poor and the marginalised. But in its wake, the conference has spawned poverty. Many Nairobians who invested and transformed their homes into temporary boarding and lodgings are counting their losses, running into millions of shillings.
